Buzzards Bay Regatta

Buzzards Bay day 4
I found a place to buy new trailer spare. It was replaced while we had breakfast in Dartmouth. The last thirty miles was easy, and we got to Wareham (where ham) around 11am. I called the Multihull Source and got directions to their shop from Bert Kornyei . This sign is right next door.

There is tradition here that causes me to be impressed.  Bob Gleason guided the Cannon into a slot at the Multihull Source for me to leave her, (sorry I didn’t get a picture of your sign)  while we searched out our lodging and the Beverly Yacht Club. I mistakenly assumed that the field house for the Tabor Academy ( a private high school)  was the Beverly Yacht Club. I was disdainfully redirected. The Beverly Yacht Club is nice, but the Tabor Academy Field House looks to me like a good place to host the Americas Cup.

We found our motel and discovered that they have no internet access. We spent the rest of the afternoon looking for a wi-fi hotspot without success. Wareham is a quaint little town, I just didn’t realize how quaint. The one Starbucks is inside a Target store and has no internet. Borders has internet but only for T-Mobile customers. The Wareham Wi-Fi Store not only doesn’t have any idea, and he did not want to talk to us about it. There may be a place in the next town west, we will check it tomorrow.

Day 5
Obviously we found a wi-fi coffee shop, so I am feeling a little closer to the 20th century.
Today we begin to contemplate getting ready to commence putting the boat in the water. The tide moves about six feet so moorings are the most practical, and they seem to be monitored by the local harbor master under the authority of the municipality, making the $40 per night mooring near the yacht club quite a bit more attractive. Additional information is needed.
